A Message from an Anonymous Christian,

Hello. First of all, I’m a Christian. Not a bible thumping one, though I am open to discussing my faith to random strangers who seem to need it or ask. Discipleship is a great Christian mission. Anyway, I respect your stand. Many times I find myself confused and veering away from the religion I chose, and yes, to me it was a choice. As it was a choice for your group to not believe in God. I just wanted to point out that not all theists are absolutely misled. There are some with purest intention of just spreading a little bit of hope to the hopeless. I’ve always had this personal belief that God is there, because I cannot fathom the complexity of life itself. That it unravels itself because of a superior being. I just don’t think that human nature can actually attribute for both good and bad things here. I’ve been reading through your blog, and you have some exceptional points against religion, but it’s not going to change my mind. We were given a choice. Okay, this is getting way too long, and the length might have already construed my message @.@

Short version: I respect your stance, though I cannot take my self to fully believe in it. Christianity for me is about sharing hope, and being kind, more of the beatitudes rather than commandments. Not all Christians are bad, and not all are against atheists or everyone else. Thanks for reading and I apologize for the lengthiness.

Thank you for your insight, anon.

And thank you for not completely bashing my lack of belief.

We share some common views, pretty weird huh?

;p

Anonymous asked: hey i consider myself agnostic-atheist, purely on the basis that i have experienced supernatural presences in my life before ie. ghost/entity fucking around with me. i was just wondering, if there are any atheists with this experience too and what an atheist view is on ghosts etc ?

Anyone have any related anecdotes they’d like to share?

And, in my opinion, there is no set “atheist view” on ghosts, etc. The only defining feature of an atheist is that they do not believe in a god. Other than that, you can believe pretty much whatever and still be an atheist. I personally do not believe in ghosts, but remain open to the possibility with the presentation of evidence.

I hope you find the answer you’re looking for.

Same. Suicide is not the answer. Trust me. You’re not solving anything. You may think people would be better off without you but let me tell you. I am NOT better off without Mario in my life. And the people you know, They won’t be better off without you. You’ll hurt them more than you know.

I’ve contemplated suicide in the past as well, and I hope you choose to live.
There are so many people and things I would have missed out on had I died when I wanted to.

Signal boost, just to prove a point.
People do care.
