First off, *seem smarter.

Secondly, I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who claimed to be an atheist just to make themselves look smarter.

It’s more like the opposite, they are atheist because they are smart. They are more skeptical which leads them to ask questions and seek the truth.

I don’t understand people sometimes I guess.
