Anonymous asked: Just a minor point - everythingis-permitted's answer is very slightly incorrect as it seems to imply we are altruistic for the sake of the species, when in fact it's for the sake of our own genes. Since we share some genes with others, depending on our relatedness, we are hard-wired to be altruistic to an extent; the development of society etc. has just taken that one step further to...

herecomeslarry: atheismforthewin: There is something that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. It was a question that a Catholic priest asked me while we were debating. He said, “No matter what you say about science and our origin of life or anything like that, you have to admit that there is something about humans that connects us all.” I had mentioned earlier in the debate that I don’t...

madiroxable asked: I would personally argue that we've been biologically hardwired to help other humans because we are group animals. Without helping each other, our species would have died out long ago. Basic biology and evolution explains why he help people.

hitler was an atheist
Wrong, Hitler was a Christian and stated so many times in his life. His whole plan to eradicate the Jews was based on his delusion that he was a part of “God’s Chosen People.” See below for a webpage that actually has facts. http://www.evilbible.com/hitler_was_christian.htm Be sure that this dumbassery doesn’t happen again. -Victor

kookybat answered your question: 500 followers! Bananas are proof of intelligent design. I was hoping so much that this one would come up. I never believed that people, outside of Mr Comfort, genuinely used this one. I’m both amazed and seriously worried for our species =L

Interesting.
For the responses we’ve got so far, they all seem to fall into a certain theme. We’ve had: Christianity is correct because it is the oldest religion in the world.   Atheism is a religion. If evolution is true, why are there gays? Christianity is the only decent moral code (had a giggle at that one myself) Seems like the less intelligent theists are as repetitive as they are...

Awesome! To celebrate, we’ll have a little discussion. What’s the most interesting/comedic thing a theist has ever told you or used as an argument?

Anonymous asked: I was wondering if you could offer me some insight. I am agnostic and my husband is atheist. We have 2 children and my 4 year old is about to start school and I am wondering if we should bring up religion with him. We have not even mentioned it and he does not even know what jesus and god are. We want our kids to make up their own minds about everything but not this soon where they believe...

explosivehuman asked: What are some of the best arguments for an agnostic/atheist to use to support their beliefs? I know that there are a great many out there, but what are the best to use?

I'm home from Vegas.
With a new tattoo. And I come with a challenge. I want someone who is a theist to try to convert me. I will not even argue. Just give it your best shot. If there is nothing that I can refute I will join your religion and remove myself from this blog. Good luck. -Victor
